well, it's been a long, long time since i last wrote here. i have been in and out of SL for extended periods of time, however now i am back around. mySky seems to still be moving, though slowly. it's enough for me to get the tool belt back out and play around. 

i plan to put out updated versions of some of my best sellers, like the Ebony Low Prim Kitchen as well as the Arcadia sofa. i also have an outline of new ideas i plan to try executing before the end of this year.

i haven't blogged here in quite some time, have had a lot going on in both worlds. however, tonight, my Kippy and i visited an old place ... the land where we first met. even though the parcel looks totally different and is now empty, no more cool aqua floors, the memories still flooded me as soon as i landed. it all happened that first day i landed on your parcel ... can't we relive that moment over and over? i love you.

remember what your first avatar looked like? i know i've come a long way - from spiral hair, 30 prim chairs, and an apartment with a phantom front door for 10L a week, to flexi prim skirts and a platform 3,000 meters in the sky. who would have thought?

my view of viewer 2

i know this is coming in late, but i gave it some thought and here it is ...

i do not! like: 

-that the sidebar is the only viewer window for profiles, inventory, etc. for example, if I want to view a profile and look at something else from the tabs at same time, impossible. individual windows were so much better.

-in the friends list - it was so much easier having the ability to simply check/uncheck features like invisible, grant mod rights, etc. without having to search for these functions in menus.

-the new shape and script icons. script looks less identifiable and shape icon looks like something related to the concept of "Group" or "people" instead of avatar body shape like the previous one.

-that the rotate and move arrows are not side by side in the new window. one has to click either button to access them. i am used to using both almost simultaneously, daily!

-where are profile picks and classifieds?? unless i'm missing something, i couldn't find a feature for Picks. also hate the way profiles are viewed in sidebar compared to individual windows

-having separate "Voice" tab was more clear

-having to toggle sidebar on/off to get full view & access to things, makes me dizzy.

-miss being able to quickly look at parcel settings (no build/no fly, etc) at top near parcel name

-again, awkward selecting options from the menus at top of screen and having results show way over in the sidebar only instead of having pop out windows.

-miss having a visible BUILD and SEARCH button. don't like the build drop down menu at top.

-would be nice if the right-click Edit option read as "Edit/Build" or "Edit/Create" instead of just Edit.

I do like:

-searching for people directly from friends list
-picture icons next to friends names
-nearby tab
-tattoo addition
-in-world dashboard access
-built-in quick start guide

overall i think some important functions are more buried in the menus. Delete is now buried in Remove in the drop down menu. Was easier to see these important, basic functions directly in pie form. as an experienced user of 4 years, i was really lost trying to find some of the most basic features that should not be so hidden. i can see how a FEW aspects of the new design are more user/newbie-friendly, but overall, it feels less self-explanatory than the old client. and each time i go back to the viewer, i find more that i don't like about it.
